Question 1

What is SOBA OTOME?

Accepted Answer

A project for learning the basics of investing by talking them through with an AI Otome — for people starting out, and for anyone who wants to get clearer on NISA, regular contributions or market news. It does not sell financial products and does not make buying decisions for you. It explains terms, news and how to think about risk.

Question 2

What is actually open today?

Accepted Answer

The chat with an AI Otome — OTOME AI — is open as an invite-only closed beta. So are the project pages, the characters, the money and investing reading, the collab manga, the roadmap, the blog and this page. The long-form written material, OTOME CORE, the review content, the check test and the badge are all still being built.

Question 3

What if I know nothing, and do not even know what to ask?

Accepted Answer

That is fine, and it is who this is for. Nothing assumes you already know the vocabulary, and "I do not know how to ask" is the state we designed around. A single word you keep seeing, or a vague worry, is enough to start with — and there is a set of opening questions to pick from if you would rather.

Question 4

What is OTOME AI?

Accepted Answer

The chat itself: a place to sort out the basics of investing in conversation. During the closed beta the one you talk to is NASU-Nana; the other three follow. It opens from a handful of doors — terms, why the market did that, risk and worry — so you can begin without knowing what to ask.

Question 5

Can I use it right now?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as an invite-only closed beta. You need an account and a confirmed invite code, and you can ask 20 questions a day. When a general release is decided it will be announced here and on X, note and the blog.

Question 6

Where do I get an invite code?

Accepted Answer

Follow @sobaotome on X and send a DM saying you would like one. We reply with a code. They are free, and a reply can take a little while.

Question 7

What can I ask about?

Accepted Answer

NISA, regular contributions, cutting losses, interest rate news, leverage in FX, crypto, gold and commodities — for study and reference.

Question 8

What does each of the four Otome cover?

Accepted Answer

NASU-Nana takes US tech stocks and indices, Kawasein Sera currencies, Tsukiyo Ado crypto, and Kinnomiya Inori gold and commodities. During the closed beta only NASU-Nana is available to talk to; the other three follow. All four appear in the manga and the explainers.

Question 9

What is OTOME ACADEMY?

Accepted Answer

Where the material lives, split by form rather than by subject. The collab manga with COIN MUSME is open; the long reads and the blog are being built. The chat is part of the Academy too.

Question 10

What is OTOME CORE?

Accepted Answer

A membership, still in preparation, that will open deeper material, limited content and the community around it. How it works, what it covers and how to join will all be announced before it opens. The check test and the certificate are planned to arrive with it.

Question 11

Is this investment advice or a trading signal? How is it different from asking a bank?

Accepted Answer

It is neither. SOBA OTOME provides educational and reference material. It does not give investment advice or trading instructions, does not solicit financial products, does not recommend individual securities and guarantees no returns. That is also the difference from a bank or a broker: there is nothing here to sell you. It does not make the decision for you — it sets out the schemes, the terms, the news and the way to think about risk. Every investment decision remains yours, and your responsibility.

Question 12

Are any of the perks guaranteed?

Accepted Answer

No. Anything that may be offered later is not a promise of money or of a fixed return. What it is, when it arrives and what it requires may all change.
